Vacation - SAVANNAH, GEORGIA MAY 2014
For a wonderful week, each morning I followed this path to the beach. If only I could do this every morning... There is just something so magnificent about the east coast beaches. The waves seem to roll in and pull the stress away, leaving a calm, which I have not experienced anywhere else. I love the beach!
We stayed at the Beaufort Inn and walked to the Intracoastal Waterway, where there were so many of these swings to enjoy while we gazed out at the water. The cannon was at the end of the main street, where we watched the bridge turn sideways to allow boats through the waterway.
Behind the Beaufort Inn is a lovely patio and this little garden, where the water feature was a lovely addition.

This piano stairway is in Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville restaurant in Nashville.

It was funny to watch the reaction of people walking by this man.

We walked all along this street, stopped in several of the bars and enjoyed the country music.

I just love this fountain!

This piece is just stunning in the lobby of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

It's hard to believe all of this beautiful greenery, waterfalls, waterways and gardens are under this atrium.

There are beautiful sculptures and fountains throughout the hotel.

This is a beautiful staircase located in the retail section of the Gaylord Opryland.

What a beautiful lamp post with a dragon figure, no less!

They actually have a waterway and you can take a boat trip inside!

There are actually waterfalls inside!

The plants inside the Gaylord Opryland Hotel are just beautiful.
Vacation - Nashville, Tennessee - Downtown and The Gaylord Opryland Hotel
We stayed at the Indigo Hotel in downtown Nashville. It was an easy walk to the restaurants, clubs and shopping. The Indigo was a wonderful hotel with beautiful art deco architecture. Next time I would stay at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, which we did visit while we were there. It is like a little town in and of itself, a paradise with beautiful plants and waterfalls! It is beyond beautiful, as you can clearly see in the pictures.
Vacation - Niagara Falls, Canada.
This was not my dream vacation. It was David's desire to visit Niagara Falls. He had been talking about it for several years. Since it was his desire, even though I do not like cold and that is what my vision of Niagara Falls was, I started looking for hotels and planning a trip. We packed up and left for Ontario on October 2, 2013.

Can I tell you that this place is AMAZING? Ironically, I enjoyed this much more than Dave! The views were breathtaking! The food was amazing!
There are three falls there. We walked from our hotel down to the falls. We took a tour on a bus, which was very informative. On the tour bus there was only one other couple, who spoke French and very little English. No, unfortunately, I do not speak French, but the bus driver did. She was enjoyable and knew more about Niagara Falls than I can remember!

One night we ate at the one-of-a-kind Myst Lounge on the 34th floor of the Hilton. The impressive entrance looked like a big wave. The panoramic view was breathtaking!

We also had dinner at Brasa, the Brazilian steak house, on the night before we left. There was so much food! Delicious!
If you ever have the chance to visit Niagara Falls, don't hesitate! Take your camera!

The Skylon Tower was a short walk from our hotel. The view of the falls from there was incredible.

This amazing view is from the Skylon Tower.

This is a view of the American Falls from the Canadian side.

We walked from our hotel down to the falls. This picture is from ground level.

We could hear the rumble of the falls from our room.

This place was amazing. We were treated well, had the an amazing view of the falls and the food was great!

This view of the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls, (the small falls on the right), was from atop the Skylon Tower.

As we were taking the boat to the falls, we spotted this rainbow.

Although I did not want to get on the boat and go under the falls, I was coerced! I did get some beautiful pictures and am so glad I was forced! Why, did I not want to go? I had seen all the people earlier with raincoats and they were getting soaked! Tucked under the roof in a strategic spot, I didn't get wet when we were under the falls.

The casino is just beautiful. I love the Steampunk fountain and the glass dome. The window in our room overlooked the casino entry.

This fountain is in the casino across the street from our hotel.

Can you imagine waking up to this every morning? This was the view from our window!

What an amazing entrance! The view from this restaurant was spectacular.

Yes, I took a picture of the salad. I love Caesar salad and I have never been served one that looked this artistic before!
I would go back to Savannah in a heart beat! I love this city, it's parks, the southern charm and all of it's history. I took a tour bus, which allowed you to get off and walk, visit shops, restaurants, museums and then board another to finish your tour. A day went so quickly and pleasantly.

Vacation - Emerald Isle, North Carolina Vacation June 2015
My favorite place in the whole world is the beach on Emerald Isle, North Carolina. We took the grandkids on this trip and enjoyed introducing them to the Atlantic Ocean for the first time.
There are so many great restaurants there. The boys enjoyed fishing and we enjoyed eating the fish they caught!

The worst part is leaving, but we will be back again, soon.
Travels
Vacation - St. Augustine, Florida June 2016
Dave and I have visited St. Augustine, Florida a few times but there were still some places we wanted to see. This time we enjoyed staying at the beach and revisiting places we had visited before. This time, we did more site seeing, though.
