Who Isn't Crazy About Rich Decadent Chocolate?
Who isn't crazy about rich decadent chocolate? There are very few people that I know who don't love it! Here are a few of my very favorite recipes featuring chocolate.
One of my favorite cheesecakes is this 'Chocolate Cheesecake', of course! Chocolate fudge sauce on top of the creamy chocolate cheesecake with a chocolate crust, what could be better?
What could be better than an all-chocolate cheesecake? Well, maybe this 'Turtle Cheesecake' could be in the running. The graham cracker crust is topped with caramel. A chocolate cheesecake filling tops the caramel layer and a rich dark chocolate topping made of melted chocolate and milk is then poured over the cooled cheesecake. Whole pecans dipped in the melted caramel decorate the top of the cheesecake.
Isn't everyone crazy about fudge? Back in the 70's, this recipe for Creamy Fudge on a handwritten recipe card was given to me by a friend's mother. It has been the only recipe I have used for fudge since that day. You don't need to use a thermometer to make perfect creamy fudge every time!
This fudge is often requested by family and friends. Everyone thinks it is too hard to make fudge, but it really isn't with this recipe. I use an 8" square cake pan to pour the hot fudge into, divide the pan into quarters both ways, and the end result is 16 thick pieces of fudge. Usually, for a dessert table, those 2" square pieces would be cut in half.
25 Minute Chocolate Cake! This recipe uses a 12" x 16" x 1"sheet pan to make a moist chocolate cake, which is almost brownie-like. It bakes in twenty minutes! The fudge frosting with pecan pieces is the perfect complement and stirs up in no time.
Creamy Fudge Bars are so addictive! I can't make them often. They are too hard to resist and you won't be able to stop eating them until they are gone! Oats, brown sugar, and butter are part of the base of this bar cookie. A fudge filling is made with chocolate chips, butter, pecans, and sweetened condensed milk. Then, more of the oat mixture is crumbled on top. Delicious!
? These mix-up quickly in a sauce pan and bake in an 8" square cake pan. The fudge frosting is also made in a sauce pan.
Just like the 25-Minute Chocolate Cake, these can be mixed, baked, and frosted in no time. I can't tell you how many times I have made these at the last minute for taking to work or for a last minute occasion. When there is little time, this is another quick and easy, but so decadently delicious chocolate treat!
Using this same recipe as a base, I also make Brownie Almond Cheesecake Bars.
Now, I ask you, is there anything better than chocolate with almond flavor? Just look how gorgeous these are! They are quite tasty, too!
So, the next time you need a dessert, maybe one of these will come to mind. Is there anyone Who Isn't Crazy About Rich Decadent Chocolate?
