Beautiful Garden Fountain

The lilac bush in front of our home, was looking pretty scraggly. After deciding to remove the bush, we contemplated what to plant in place of it. The two azaleas on either side of it were struggling, to say the least. To begin with, why did the landscaper put a lilac in the frontyard? I love the blossoms and the lovely fragrance, but doesn't it seem more like a backyard plant?

Then it dawned on me, wouldn't a bird bath, a fountain, or a statue be a better alternative? After suggesting that to Dave, he seemed to like the idea, too. We went to the local Lowe's store and it just so happened that this little gem of a fountain was on sale! It stands almost five foot tall and included a pump.

We had it up in no time. Well, when I say we, I mean Dave. He did all of the work, but it was my idea! The hardest part was leveling the ground and adding the river rock around the base. It's amazing how much water noise it makes. It sounds like a small waterfall as you come up the walk!. What a great addition to our home and garden!
